PTA News

Thank you for...

  • your role in making Hoover the #1 Maryland public middle school in Niche's 2023 Best Schools and Districts ratings
  • joining the PTA.  The number one reason to join the PTA is to benefit your child. To date, about 35% (333 families and faculty) have joined.  If you have not purchased a membership, you belong in the PTA...and so do your relatives, neighbors, and friends...spread the word and join here. The deadline to verify school directory information is coming up on 11/1.
  • making this "big thank you" photo from Mrs. Carlin and Ms. Kim in the Media Center possible. If you still plan to contribute to Hoover Staff's Amazon Gift Registry, donations should be delivered to the "Gift Registry Address".
  • your donations to the 7th Grade cell cookie lab. From the 7th Grade Science Team: "please extend a HUGE thank you to the wonderful 7th grade parents for their generous donations to our awesome cell cookie lab. We had a great time!".  See photos here.
  • the 179 happy skaters at Skate Night!

Plan on...

  • buying tickets online for the Let's Glo All Night" Halloween Party on 10/27 from 6-8 pm in Hoover's Cafeteria.  Tickets ($12 each) will also be sold during lunch 10/25 and 10/26.
  • raising money for Hoover when you buy a delicious, homemade pie from Sprinkles Potomac. This women-owned small business has been serving Potomac for over 30 years and its manager is a Hoover graduate. If you want to support Hoover, but don't want the pie, you can purchase one for our wonderful Hoover staff to enjoy over Thanksgiving break. Enter "Hoover" in the comment box if you plan to keep the pie. Enter "Hoover Teacher" if you want the PTA to get the pie to a Hoover staff member. The order deadline is 11/10 and pick up is 11/20-11/24 during business hours. Click herefor more details.

Check out...
