• signing up your student for the Hoover Read-A-Thon.  It is not too late! Students will spend the month of March earning prizes for both reading and raising funds.  It is possible to earn prizes without raising any money. Parents must assist students in setting up their account since they are not allowed to use their school emails. • attending the MCCPTA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee's community meeting on 3/1 from 7-9 pm on Zoom. The meeting will focus on school-based antisemitism and other forms of discrimination. Speakers include Rabbi Noah Diamondstein from Temple Sinai DC and MCPS’ Tracy Oliver-Gary, a Supervisor of Pre-K-12th Grade Social Studies curriculum. Another opportunity: MSI is looking for "Youth Game Leaders" for 1st grade games held at Hoover every Saturday in September and October. At least one year of soccer experience is required.
