1. We are still collecting end of year gift cards for all Hoover staff. Gift cards are available for purchase on the Hoover Staff's Amazon Wishlist.  Please only buy physical gift cards and have them delivered to the "Gift Registry Address" at 11208 River View Drive, Potomac, MD 20854.

3. Sign up here for the parent sponsored Grade 8 Graduation Pool Party on 6/13 at Potomac Swim and Tennis.  Please RSVP by 6/7.
4. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help with outdoor recess. Please consider signing up here for the last two Fridays.  We need to have at least 3 parents per grade or recess will not happen. Be sure to call the main office at 301-968-3740 before going to the school to confirm that recess has not been cancelled because of staffing shortages and/or weather.

1. Here is this week's Things to Know newsletter.  Get information about graduation, summer school, SSL hours, the inaugural season of girls' flag football, upcoming community events, and good news about staff and students.  
2. Read the statement from the Montgomery County Board of Education President Karla Silvestre and Dr. Monique Felder, Interim Superintendent, Montgomery County Public Schools regarding the FY 2025 Operating Budgethere.
3. Read the latest edition of MCPS QuickNotes, which includes a calendar of events and MCPS news and information.

Student Service Learning is a Maryland state graduation requirement. 75 SSL hours are required to graduate.  All SSL forms for any service completed after June 1, 2023, must be submitted to a student’s SSL middle school coordinator or high school coordinator by the systemwide deadline of Friday, May 31.  After May 31, SSL forms will no longer be accepted for service completed during the 2023–2024 school year or the summer prior.  Learn more about the required SSL documentation and find opportunities ahead of the summer months.  If you have questions, email Hoover's SSL Coordinator, Amalia Triantis at Amalia_D_Triantis@mcpsmd.org.
